Tailorlux GmbH and Traceability solutions specialists, Aware™ have announced a global strategic alliance, combining Tailorlux' patented textile tracer technology with Aware's next-generation sustainability claim validation technology.
With technology playing an increasingly important role in all aspects of sustainable textile traceability and preventing greenwashing, brands and retailers see the need to speed the development of digital solutions to fulfill consumer demand and legal regulations.
The Tailorlux-Aware collaboration brings together extensive expertise in traceability, blockchain technology strategy, and supply chain integration to assist textile businesses and retailers in implementing actual validation of sustainability claims of their products
Tobias Herzog, Managing Director of Tailorlux, said that the Tailorlux-Aware collaboration is a powerful combination. Aware's awareness of the complicated textile supply chain, skill in digital tokenization of sustainable material interactions, and open approach are uniquely complementary to their patented tracer technology. This combined solution is simple to approach, simple to deploy, and simple to understand and communicate to their customers; it fills a Tailorlux gap in the realm of digital solutions.
Feico van der Veen, Managing Director of Aware™, said that partnering with Tailorlux to deliver their tracer and scanning technology directly to their supply chain partners will allow them to develop the very best blockchain-powered validation technologies on which they'll build the next generation of digital products such as NFTs. By working together as partners, they will realize the full potential of digital transformations and put their clients on the best route to success in the new digital sustainability claim validation landscape.
Tailorlux will offer tracer materials, dosing systems, and scan equipment directly to spinners as part of the new agreement, which will also include the development of digital tokens on the Aware™ validation platform, which is based on a public blockchain. As of March 2022, the Aware™ tracer will be available worldwide to Aware™ network partners after the production of tracer fibers in Germany is scaled up.
