The N9’s antiviral performance against the COVID-19 brings verified functional hygiene and textile protection to the industry.

India has signed an agreement with Consolidated Pathways Inc. (USA) to bring the Swiss antiviral and antimicrobial technologies into a sustainable, cost-effective custom blend for the textile industry.

According to various press release sources, the company provides an antiviral performance against the virus bringing a proven hygiene function and material protection to the textile industry.

Consolidated Pathways is a brand based in Midland USA that acts as a technical representative for Sanitized products and supports the advancement of the verified Sanitized quality seal.

This partnership will act as a catalyst for both companies to offer unique performance benefit platforms to the international textile industries.

The new antiviral technology will be headed under the umbrella brand VIROBAN and has been proven to be quite effective against the capsid viruses.

It claims to reduce the infectious viruses by 99.99% when tested under ISO 18184. The polymers have been designed to be highly compatible with textiles and are safe to be used next to skin.

VIROBAN’s N9 XTS-18 creates a high cationic charge density on the textile surface which deactivates the spread of virus and bacteria on contact. The technology acts rapidly to prevent the transmission of the virus.

All antiviral claims are subjected to various regulations in the countries and N9 assists its users in assuring that these regulations are complied with.

Vikram Rao, managing director of N9 World Technologies said amidst the pandemic consumers are actively seeking protective safety measures to shield them from the virus. He believes that this collaboration is now the ‘One Stop Shop’ for global brands and retailers who are looking for innovative and sustainable specialty finishes for their textile products.

James Krueger, CEO of Consolidated Pathways confirmed that the partnership would provide a unique combination of technologies, market intelligence and expertise that can facilitate brands and retailers enhance their products in ways that are more meaningful to their users.
