Sustainable denim collection by Mango will save 30 million liters of water

A sustainable denim collection is launched by Mango for women, men and children which saves 30 million liters of water during the finishing process. In order to find innovative solutions and cut down on excess water waste during the washing and finishing of denim products, new technologies such as lasers and ozone are used in each garment. They will not only reduce water consumption but will also make the garments more durable and long-lasting. In the new collection, they are promoting a Mediterranean lifestyle which is linked to the sea and nature, so that the garments are loved by the customers in all seasons.

Mango’s sustainability director, Beatriz Bayo said in a press release that they are developing collections in order to reduce their footprint by using innovative and adaptive sustainable technologies and processes. They are constantly seeking more sustainable materials and production alternatives with the help of their team and their fabric and garment suppliers.

The company is on the target of using cotton sourced from 100% sustainable sources and recycling 50% of its polyester which have to be achieved by 2025. Mango continues to show its commitment towards more sustainable fashion by launching this collection.
