Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills reinstates production at denim unit

Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills manufactures world class cotton and blended yarns has restored production operations at Denim division which is located near Ramtek, Nagpur District in state of Maharashtra, from March 09, 2015 consequent on the resolution of the labour disputes.

Earlier, in January the company had suspended its production operations at Denim division due to labour unrest.

Suryalakshmi’s denim plant ranks among the best in the world. The blow room line, cards and draw frames are from Trutzchler. Autocore open end are of schalafhorst.

The company has established the state of the art denim manufacturing plant having a capacity of 40 million meters per annum.

Today Suryalakshmi’s yarn and rope dyed denim are acknowledged as high quality products across international markets

The company’s fabric division contributed 47 percent of its revenues (Rs 335 crore), garments contributed Rs. 47.50 crore, which was about six percent of its total sales last fiscal.

For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2014, the company has reported a Standalone sales of Rs. 176.54 Cr., down -3.81% from last quarter Sales of Rs. 183.54 Cr. and up 16.67% from last year same quarter Sales of Rs. 151.31 Cr. Company has reported net profit after tax of Rs. 4.91 Cr. in latest quarter.
