Finnish nonwovens innovator, Suominen introduces BIOLACE® Ultrasoft, a plant-based, biodegradable, plastic-free, and compostable nonwoven for personal care and baby products.
BIOLACE Ultrasoft is the newest addition to Suominen's sustainable product range, and it builds on the success of its BIOLACE product line, which was released over a decade ago. Suominen's growth strategy focuses on developing innovative and sustainable nonwovens.
Lynda Kelly, SVP, Americas & Business Development, said that with new creative and ecological goods like BIOLACE Ultrasoft, they are putting their plan into reality. When compared to the base year of 2019, sales of sustainable goods rose by more than 20% in 2020.
BIOLACE Ultrasoft was created to meet the needs of clients and consumers in terms of both sustainability and quality. According to studies done by Suominen, the structure and content of BIOLACE Ultrasoft nonwovens allow for a 25% increase in cleaning efficiency when compared to the same base weight of 100% viscose spunlace and a 38% improvement when compared to polyester wipes.
Johanna Sirén, category manager, said that BIOLACE Ultrasoft is a long-lasting product with outstanding softness and cleansing efficiency. It's ideal for baby wipes and personal care items including cosmetic wipes and baby wipes. Because of its gentleness, it's particularly appropriate for delicate skin products.
