Sumeet Industries, manufacturers and exporters of polyester yarn, polypropelene yarn and woven fabrics, announced that the company has successfully commissioned 3,500 TPA carpet yarn manufacturing plant and has also started commercial production from the new carpet yarn unit.

The company said that this is a valued added product and will add an additional revenue of Rs. 750 million in the top line of the company.

The company will export 90% of the production of carpet yarns to overseas buyers. This will add a substantial amount of profit in its total earnings. The company is in the process of exploring and adding some more value added category of yarns in its product basket.

The company started its polyester operations in 2004 installing new state of art automatic craft winder plant imported from Barmag, Germany. They have dealer network in Gujarat & Silvassa to sell polyester yarn and have been regularly exporting POY to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, South Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc.

While, the company started its Polypropylene plant way back in 1992. The technology was imported from Neumag, Germany who is the pioneer in Polypropylene plant in the world. They have an all over dealer network to sell polypropylene yarn and export to South Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Spain, etc.

The group is highly active in fabric processing business in surat, the textile city of India. Their group holds a substantial capacity in fabric processing in Surat. It have 11 fabric processing units with a capacity to process one million meters fabric per day which comes to 365 million fabric per annum. In the last 4 years the group has acquired 6 processing units and the group still holds the hunger for growth.

Sumeet Industries Limited was established in 1989. The company started as a yarn manufacturing unit and has now grown in a huge conglomerate with various businesses with an annual turn over of Rs. 3638 million.
