Strafe Outerwear, a brand known for its advanced technical clothing for mountain sports, has introduced its first down jacket, the Palisade Down Insulator. This new product has been developed in collaboration with supply chain partners Allied Feather, Bureo, and Pertex. It is designed to offer high levels of warmth and comfort while staying light in weight.
The outer fabric of the Palisade is made from Bureo’s NetPlus recycled nylon, which is created from old fishing nets collected from coastal communities around the world. These nets go through a cleaning and sorting process before being recycled into high-quality nylon. The NetPlus material has a fully transparent and independently verified supply chain, making it easy to trace the journey from net collection to finished product.
Another key feature of the jacket is the Pertex Diamond Fuse fabric, which has a stronger and more stable structure. This makes the jacket more resistant to wear and tear while keeping it lightweight and easy to pack.
The down is further enhanced with ExpeDRY technology from Fuze Technologies, which uses bonded gold particles to help the material dry faster and manage moisture more effectively. This treatment maintains the loft and performance of the down even in damp conditions.
