Sri Kannapiran Mills receives $2.5 million investment from the Good Fashion Fund

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-07-10 17:20:25 – India

Sri Kannapiran Mills Limited (SKML), a leading Indian manufacturer of sustainable denim fabrics and cotton yarn, has received an investment from the Good Fashion Fund totaling $2.5 million, or Rs. 20 crore.

Kannapiran Plants will use the assets for substitution and extension of three of their turning production lines, specifically KG Naidu Factory, Balaji Plant, and KG Fabriks. The speculation will assist SKML with satisfying assembling needs of its clients, assist with scaling supportability and make it cutthroat in the worldwide production network.

In a statement, SKML managing director Srihari Balakrishnan said, "We are delighted to be working with Good Fashion Fund, and this investment helps us dig deeper into sustainable practices." This statement was made in reference to the partnership. This investment will assist them in moving to the forefront of sustainable fashion. They continue to set an example for other denim manufacturers in terms of sustainability.

"SKML has thoughtfully integrated sustainability across its operations and is committed to improving continuously," added Bob Assenberg, fund director of Good Fashion Fund. They are excited to begin this new partnership and greatly value the positive cooperation.

The Good Fashion Fund (GFF) is started by Fashion for Good and is a coordinated effort between Laudes Foundation, The Mills Fabrica, and Fount.
