Spuntech plans to expansion of its Roxboro facility

Spuntech Industries Inc., the U.S. division of Israel-based N.R. Spuntech Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of spun laced fabrics looking ahead to bright prospects in the US plans expansion of its Roxboro, N.C., facility and will be investing more than $35 million over the next three and add 60 jobs.

According to Gidi Krasny, CEO, Spuntech, having achieved success of their last investment, they are very excited about the additional investment in the Roxboro site as they look forward to a bright future in the U.S. Also they appreciate the support of the local community as well as the state of North Carolina in assisting them in providing high quality people to match their state of the art operation.

The project will be funded in part by a performance-based grant of up to $235,000 from the One North Carolina Fund

Spuntech's U.S. division manufactures a range of products including viscose, polyester, 100-percent polyester and 100-percent polypropylene fabrics in base weights of 45 to 200 grams per square meter and in a variety of finishes.

Capacity at the Roxboro facility totals some 12,000 to 14,000 tons annually.
