Sourcery, a global sourcing solution, has introduced an Impact and Assurance program aiming to provide transparent and traceable primary data collection within the cotton value chain. The program offers verified primary data relevant to specific locations within the cotton value chain, verified by a third party, to change perceptions about sustainable cotton.

Through the Sourcery Connect App, developed in collaboration with Bluenumber, the program collects verified primary data more reliably, accurately, securely, equitably, and at a larger scale.

This initiative, an integral part of Sourcery’s Direct-to-Grower Program, will be implemented globally over three years in multiple stages, aiming to strengthen the authenticity of material and fiber origin, comply with legislation, and meet grower demands. Reports suggest that this initiative will enhance agricultural and financial resilience, ultimately impacting the price of cotton-based products positively.
