Shima Seiki to exhibit its latest knitting solutions to Bangladeshi market

Shima Seiki, Wakayama, Japan-based firm specializing in manufacturing computerized knitting machine to exhibit a range of its latest solutions to meet the current needs of the Bangladeshi market at the upcoming 15th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2018) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in cooperation with its partner Pacific Associates Ltd., operating in Bangladesh since 1996, this is the eleventh time the Japanese manufacturer will be participating at DTG.

Shima Seiki will be exhibiting its latest solutions to meet the current needs of the Bangladeshi market as well as advanced solutions for future market needs. As pioneer of WHOLEGARMENT knitting technology whereby an entire garment can be produced in one piece on the machine without linking or sewing, Shima Seiki will show its SWG091N2 WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine which provides opportunities for highly flexible production across a wide range of items in a compact, economical package.

Also on display will be the benchmark SVR123SP features a loop presser bed mounted above the rear needle bed and is capable of inlay technique for producing unique, value-added hybrid knitweave fabrics. In addition at DTG the SVR123SP features the new iPlating option, capable of alternating yarn colours in any pattern, producing jacquard like designs using plain jersey stitch. Plating can be performed within the same course and for individual needles for even greater diversity in knit design, the company says.

The SSR series workhorse machine will also be on display, featuring such Shima Seiki innovations as DSCS Digital Stitch Control System, spring-type moveable sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter and takedown comb.

Shima Seiki’s PCAM series computerized cutting machine will also be on display. Also shown will be the SDS ONE APEX3 3D design system. At the core of the company's “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 integrates all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to production and sales promotion. With ultrarealistic product simulations, APEX3 is also capable of Virtual Sampling that minimizes time, material and cost from the sample-making process. Also demonstrated at DTG will be the Shima KnitPLM, specialized PLM software for the knitting industry. Shima Seiki can be found Hall 6, Booth 603.

DTG will run from 8 to 11 February at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Agargaon, SherEBangla, Nagar, Dhaka.
