Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to inaugurate Arab Carpet Expo 2015 on 1 October 2015

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al-Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Arab Carpet Expowill be officially open on 1 October 2015 with the presence of His Excellency at the opening ceremony. The expo will beheld at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 1 October to 4 October 2015.

The Exhibition is the only in the MENA region that is focused purely on Carpet and Flooring and will have the presence of more than 40 Exhibitors from over 12 Countries. In its First Edition the major themes are Carpet, Flooring and Yarn Fiber as well as the co-Located International Green Carpet & Flooring Conference.

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR FLOORINGS AND CARPETS
Construction sector in the MENA region has been experiencing unmatched growth as merits attractive business opportunities and liberal government policies have attracted substantial investment into the region. Reportedly, 3,339 projects costing more than of US$2.8 trillion are underway in the region. A massive wave of projects in the GCC, Egypt, Iraq, and Libya has turned the region into the world’s biggest market for flooring material, carpets and interiors; demand for which is expected to grow by up to 10-15% over the next four years.

In UAE, the second in the overall construction projects, has the largest number of active projects in the Middle East. About 1,248 projects worth US$931 billion are underway in the Emirates. As it transforms from a buyers’ market to a sellers’ market, the UAE construction industry has been witnessing a boom with Dubai and Abu Dhabi at the heart of this massive expansion. With 6,000 construction companies, UAE ranks top in the world in terms of per-capita expenditure on construction. Here the construction industry is relatively free of entry barriers driven by liberal business environment, tax-free status, and political stability and is always on expansion mode.

The UAE is seeing renewed development, with the pickup in the Dubai tourism, trade, transportation and real estate reflecting in its economic growth. Figures from the Department of Economic Development reveal the GDP of Dubai has grown over 4.5 per cent in 2014. The UAE market is on track to reach the levels of investment last seen prior to global recession. More than US$12 billion worth of previously stalled projects within the country have resumed construction.

Abu Dhabi is set to be transformed by US$100 billion worth of construction projects, which include housing, education, transport and other developments. According to Fahad Al Raqbani, director general of Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, these projects emphasize the economic competitiveness of the Emirate, empower the role of the private sector and sustain the local economy’s growth in a manner that will lead to accomplishing the objectives of the economic vision 2030.

Who’s who at Arab Carpet Expo 2015?

Exhibitors at Carpet and Flooring expo will show-case their offerings specially hand and machine-made carpets and rugs, commercial and residential carpets and other carpet floor covering. Indoor floor coverings include PVC Vinyl Flooring as well as other Flooring such as Stone, Ceramic, Wood, Parquet, Laminate etc. In addition, all technologies, machinery, applications, sales, marketing, services are included.
