Selenis, a global leader in specialty polyesters, has launched a new brand called Texnascis, dedicated to textile-to-textile recycling. With this initiative, Selenis aims to move the textile industry closer to a circular future by converting textile waste into new, reusable products.
With production facilities already in the US and a new site in Italy, Selenis is using Texnascis to strengthen its leadership in textile recycling and create a sustainable link across both Europe and America.
“The launch of Texnascis is a natural step forward in building our presence in textile-to-textile recycling. We believe every garment deserves a second life, not disposal. To achieve this vision on a global scale, innovation and supportive legislation are both essential, and Texnascis will lead the way,” said Duarte Matos Gil, CEO of Selenis.
Texnascis sees opportunity in every recycled polyester fiber, turning discarded clothing and textile waste into high-quality new products. This approach moves the industry away from the old linear system of “take, make, and throw away” and towards a circular model, where every fiber is given new life, creating a future where textiles can be endlessly renewed.
