Saritoria promotes sustainable fashion with Bhumi Pednekar

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2024-01-30 16:19:43 – India

Delhi-based sustainable clothing platform Saritoria has collaborated with Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar to offer a curated selection of clothing from her personal wardrobe for public purchase. This initiative not only allows people to shop directly from the actress's wardrobe but also aims to boost awareness about sustainable fashion practices.

Founder of Saritoria, Shehlina Soomro, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Bhumi Pednekar, emphasizing her dedication to environmental causes. Pednekar's wardrobe, featuring a mix of high-end brands like Jacquemus and more accessible options like House of CB, aligns with the platform's goal to make preloved fashion a preferred choice for modern millennials and Gen Z.

With over 10,000 users, Saritoria plans to meet the increasing demand for pre-loved luxury and premium fashion. The platform envisions expanding its presence across India in the next five years, aiming to grow its user and seller base.

Bhumi Pednekar highlighted the scarcity of platforms offering vintage and thrifted pieces in India, praising Saritoria for its unique aesthetic and sustainable mission.

Saritoria claims to provide second-hand clothing for both men and women, featuring brands such as Hermes, Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, Anita Dongre, and Anamika Khanna. Launched in 2020, the platform aims to empower South Asian individuals globally to participate in the circular economy.
