YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2022-03-01 11:35:22 – USA

SanMar Corporation, a leading supplier of wholesale accessories and apparel, has announced a new collection Port Authority® C-FREE™, an innovative range of carbon-neutral styles.

The announcement, which represents a new partnership with the Carbonfund.org Foundation, is the company's most recent step in implementing its commitment to environmental sustainability.

In each of its new product launches, SanMar's mission and principles have inspired its unique fashion products. SanMar is committed to making investments that improve its sustainability throughout the process, from design and development through sourcing and manufacturing.

Pat Noonan, chief product officer at SanMar, said that "this C-FREE announcement is driven by SanMar's aim to generate positive change. This launch, in collaboration with Carbonfund.org, brings together SanMar's commitment to industry sustainability and our ideals of doing good in their communities.

SanMar uses C-FREE to create styles that can be tracked using Carbonfree® Certification. SanMar's Carbonfree® Certification assesses a product's carbon footprint and purchases carbon offsets to eliminate an equivalent number of emissions from the environment. SanMar's first exclusive C-FREE designs, made from recycled polyester, are snag-proof and moisture-wicking for all-around performance.

Eric M. Carlson, President of Carbonfund.org Foundation, said that SanMar is leading the way in terms of garment sustainability. They're thrilled to partner with an industry leader and certify SanMar's C-FREE apparel line as a tangible step toward reducing the industry's environmental impact and speeding its transition to a cleaner energy future.

Customers may shop knowing that the clothing has been subjected to rigorous carbon footprint tracking and that the corresponding emissions have been offset through targeted reduction efforts. SanMar's commitment to corporate responsibility goes beyond sustainable clothing to include investments in people and communities through responsible sourcing, philanthropic giving and building an inclusive workplace.

Customers may make an impact in their office or workplace while lowering their environmental effect with the addition of the Port Authority's® C-FREE snag-proof polos and quarter-zips to the line.
