Road Show on Textiles India -2017 is being held on 16 June today at Hotel BNR Chanakya, Ranchi from 1500 – 1630 hrs followed by the press briefing. The road show is organized by Ministry of Textile, Govt of India in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Mrs. Babni Lal,IRS, Economic Advisor Ministry of Textile, Government of India, Chief Secretary Ministry of Textiles, Government of India will be present in the Road Show and address the stakeholders. Rajbala Verma, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Jharkhand, Amit Khare, IAS, Development Commissioner, Govt. of Jharkhand, Sunil Barnwal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Govt. of Jharkhand will grace the occasion too.
Also expecting K. Ravi Kumar, IAS, MD Jharcraft, Govt. of Jharkhand, Sanjay Seth, Chairman, Khadi Board, Jharkhand and Mrs. Renu Gopinath Pannicker, CEO Jharcraft and Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha, Director, CTR&TI Ranchi and the officials from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be present during the Press Conference.
Textiles-India 2017 Fair a first ever major international exhibition will be a prestigious event and Prime Minister is likely to inaugurate the event. The event will be taking place at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from 30th June to 2nd July 2017.
This mega exhibition will showcase India’s strength in the entire gamut of textile and apparel value chain from fibre to fashion. During this event, International conferences and about 24 Round table seminars will be held with participation from global and national leaders of industry, technical experts and senior policy makers from the Union and State Governments.
The show will cover entire segment of Textile industry consisting display of products from exporters and stakeholders, Round table conferences, fashion show, theme pavilions of partner states Assam and Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Karnataka are coming on board as partner states. Gujarat is the Host State of Textiles India 2017.
