Reju, Rematrix create recycling model for textile waste

Textile regeneration company Reju has announced a strategic partnership with Rematrix, a circular economy service provider based in Vicenza, Italy. The collaboration aims to build a sustainable, textile-to-textile recycling model by addressing PET plastic waste in the fashion and textile industry.

Rematrix plays a key role in helping fashion companies manage the end-of-life phase of their textile products, ensuring readiness for upcoming Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations in Italy and Europe. Its services cover a broad range of circular solutions including textile collection and take-back, sorting, reuse, recycling, repair, rental, second-hand support, and *eco-design guidance.

“This partnership aligns with our goal of building a circular economy,” said Patrik Frisk, CEO of Reju. “Rematrix’s ability to handle the entire lifecycle of textiles—from collection to recycling—makes them an ideal partner. Their work supports both our sourcing strategy and our broader vision for sustainable change.”

The collaboration is further strengthened by Innovando, Rematrix’s managing partner. Innovando specializes in circular economy solutions and will bring expertise in traceability, regulatory compliance, and waste optimization to the table. Their involvement will help ensure a stable supply of textile waste that meets high environmental standards, whether from production leftovers or used garments.
