Ralph Lauren partners with Tópa for fourth Artist in Residence collection

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-11-21 14:43:43 – USA

Ralph Lauren has collaborated with the Indigenous-led clothing brand Tópa for the fourth edition of its Artist in Residence program. The Polo Ralph Lauren x Tópa collection is now part of the label’s fall and holiday lineup.

Tópa founders Jocy and Trae Little Sky are award-winning performers, designers and members of the Oceti Sakowin. They practice traditional arts by making regalia for Pow Wows, using techniques such as quilling, beading and leatherwork to express their cultural heritage.

Ralph Lauren’s Artist in Residence program is part of the company’s Design With Intent initiative, which aims to better represent America by working with communities that have inspired past Ralph Lauren creations. The first artist, Naiomi Glasses, worked with Ralph Lauren in 2023 and later collaborated with Tyler Glasses on a fall 2025 home collection. Last year, Zefren-M also created a capsule collection for Double RL.

In the Oceti Sakowin languages, “Tópa” means “four,” representing the four directions, four seasons, four stages of life and the four significant colors, red, black, yellow and white. This cultural symbolism is reflected throughout the collection. A portion of sales will go to the Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation to support its Lakota Language and Education Initiative. The range features items such as the Thípi Reflections jacket, priced at $1,999.
