Domotex 2018, leading trade fair for carpets and floor coverings will open its doors in Hannover this week, RadiciGroup Synthetic Fibres Business Area will be showcasing its latest wide range of textile flooring solutions for contract and residential applications made from polyamide 6 and bio polyamide 6.6 carpet yarn to polyethylene and polypropylene artificial grass yarn, ideal for synthetic turf used to enhance both public and private spaces.

The Radifloor BCF yarn line – manufactured and processed at the RadiciGroup plants in Casnigo, Italy, and Podborany, Czech Republic – boasts an ever-increasing variety of new products.

The RadiciGroup Synthetic Fibres Business Area is presenting new PA 6.6 yarn made of polymers with different dye affinities (deep and basic), making it possible to manufacture supersoft carpet with chromatic effects (not just a single colour, as has been the case up to now).

Two new kinds of yarn have been added to the range: super bright PA 6.6 1350 F 68 Bright yarn, sporting high-performance characteristics and targeted at the printed entrance mat segment, and PA 6.6 Dtex 1100F256 Bright Heat Set Superba yarn, featuring a soft hand and a unique design with iridescent effects.

Upstream vertical integration allows RadiciGroup to deliver yarns that can make the dying process easier for customers, meet the varied requirements set by designers and ensure more resistant and longer-lasting flooring. Thanks to the improvements made to Power Heat Set technology, RadiciGroup’s portfolio for the residential segment comprises a large selection of PA 6 frisé yarns with various deep and cationic dye affinity combinations.

Nicola Agnoli, business area manager of RadiciGroup Performance Yarn said that RadiciGroup is the only European producer with full control of its entire polyamide production process, from polymer chemicals to synthetic fibres and engineering plastics, including end-of-life recycling.

One of the greatest challenges for them today is the complete recyclability of their synthetic fibres. Their goal is to achieve mechanical recyclability for all of their textile products in order to recover the plastic for other technical and industrial uses. This is the core of their strategy for a truly sustainable business and a real circular economy.

At the Domotex 2018 fair, RadiciGroup Comfort Fibres Business Area is showcasing its entire PA 6 and PA 6.6 product range, under the Radilon, dorix and dorix tech brand names. This year, the range also comprises a line of bio polyamides (polyamides obtained from renewable source materials).

The Group’s decision to invest in sustainability at all production chain levels has been implemented in this business area through the use of renewable source materials for the manufacture of products, combining improved technical characteristics with reduced environmental impact.

On the environmental front, RadiciFil in Casnigo, Italy, has recently obtained ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certification renewal according to the new 2015 version of the standards, as well as ISO 50001 (Energy Management) renewal.
