Polygiene has announced the launch of Polygiene OdorCrunch 2.0, a new odor capture technology created to reduce unpleasant smells in clothing and textile products. The system works through a non-metal mechanism that captures odor molecules, helping fabrics stay fresh for a longer period.
The new technology builds on the earlier Polygiene OdorCrunch solution. The updated version offers better odor absorption and works effectively with a wider variety of fabrics, including lightweight 100 percent polyester, blended materials, and natural fibres. Unlike many traditional odor control treatments, Polygiene OdorCrunch 2.0 does not contain heavy metals.
The technology has also been developed to fit easily into current textile manufacturing processes. It can be applied through common finishing techniques such as padding and exhaust methods. The treatment provides long-lasting odor absorption and has demonstrated strong odor reduction results according to ISO 17299-3, including when used on lightweight 100 percent polyester fabrics.
Beyond sportswear and performance clothing, Polygiene OdorCrunch 2.0 is also suitable for textile products that are not washed often. This includes garments that require dry cleaning or special care. By helping fabrics stay fresh for longer between cleaning cycles, the technology may extend the life of garments while improving comfort and confidence for the wearer.
