Polartec, a Milliken & Company brand known for premium and sustainable textile innovations, has been awarded an ISPO Award 2025 for Montura’s FW26 apparel featuring Polartec AirCore, the industry’s first truly air-permeable laminate designed to keep wearers dry from the inside out.

Unlike traditional weather-protection laminates that block airflow and trap heat and moisture, Polartec AirCore delivers true air permeability while maintaining full protection from wind and rain. The laminate offers air permeability of 0.4–1.0 CFM, moisture vapor transmission rates exceeding 25,000 g/m²/24 h, and complete water repellency. Combined with stretch, low noise, and high ventilation, AirCore is engineered for high-output activities where comfort and breathability are critical.

The technology makes its outdoor apparel debut in Montura’s Ritmo PTC AirCore Hooded Anorak for FW26. Designed for mountaineering, trail running, ski touring, and other high-intensity outdoor pursuits, the jacket features wind- and water-resistant breathable protection. Ultrasonically welded seams reduce bulk and chafing while enhancing flexibility, and two-way stretch fleece inserts at the back, neck, sleeves, and hips improve mobility and ventilation.
