Pangaia Lab, the innovation division of the British B Corp, has launched a limited-edition capsule collection made using HeiQ’s patented biodegradable cellulosic filament yarn, AeoniQ. The collection includes only 55 pieces to highlight its rarity and thoughtful design, drawing inspiration from its renewable and potentially circular raw material base.

According to Chelsea Franklin, the collection’s designer and Pangaia’s head of advanced concept design, the approach balanced efficiency with the need to handle the challenges of working with a completely new material like AeoniQ. She added that limiting the release allowed them to maintain control over quality and circularity while presenting the capsule as a collector’s edition celebrating scientific progress in materials.

Each item in the collection is made entirely from AeoniQ, a material Pangaia describes as climate-positive by design. It offers the same performance as polyester but without the environmental harm. Designed and produced in London, the capsule turns science-driven innovation into clean, minimalist essentials, including a hooded jacket, a half-zip top, and straight-leg trousers. The pieces feature tonal text details, laser etching, and sleek collars, all emphasizing simplicity and purpose.

Franklin noted that AeoniQ’s unique texture and drape, created through a closed-loop process, brought new creative opportunities. “Each piece reflects that sense of discovery, elegant in its simplicity, fluid in movement, and grounded in science,” she said. “This collection defines luxury not through excess, but through intelligence, combining innovation, responsibility, and thoughtful design.”
