The pandemic has enforced numerous regulations pertaining to museums, galleries and zoos, due to these restrictions the inauguration of Siempre Más (Always More) an exhibit of the textile world by Minga Opazo in the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara, has been postponed.

The foundation aims to open its doors for the public by mid-august to view Opazo’s provocative artwork, a fourth generation craftsperson from Chile. Who translates the problem of excess apparel made from synthetic fabrics that cannot be absorbed into the natural world through her exhibition.

The exhibit is to portray colorful wall sculptures and numerous installations with a site-specific weaving that is to take place on the second story porch railing of the Architectural Foundation, facing Victoria Street.

Opazo completed her MFA from California Institute of the Arts in the year 2020 and had obtained her BA from the University of California Berkeley in the year 2015. She is also popular for her weaving studios in Ventura and Joshua for large scale installations.

She has had solo shows at Dab Art Gallery (LA), the CAM Studio Gallery (Oxnard), and a huge public installation at the HUD Gallery and the Museum of Ventura County.
