Pakistan cotton trading expected to remains slow

Cotton trading is expected to remain slow in Pakistan till world leading buyer of the commodity, China returns to work on February 7. However, a few of the mill-owners are making some buying as per their needs.

The situation helped cotton markets generate moderate turnover on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, the KCA kept its cotton spot rate unchanged for the fourth working day at Rs6,950 per maund.

Traders exchanged a total of 3,300 bales (155 kilograms each) at Rs6,850 to Rs7,100 per maund (37.324 kilograms) as compared to 5,460 bales traded at Rs6,100 to Rs7,100 per maund a day ago, it said.
