US outdoor brand Eddie Bauer has launched a resale service, through prolonged cooperation with full-service technology and reverse logistics startup Arrive.

Customers of Eddie Bauer now have the option to rent well-known products or purchase used or refurbished goods at cheaper prices thanks to the new (Re)Adventure program.

Eddie Bauer's vice president of marketing Kristen Elliott, said that Arrive has been a fantastic partner as the company continues to work towards its circular business model ambitions. In addition to giving consumers new, easier methods to equip their travels, they are also keeping more worn gear off landfills and back on the trails where it belongs.

It happens as the resale market heats up as buyers and investors alike look for more circular and sustainable fashion solutions.

According to research by the resale platform ThredUp, carried out by independent retail analytics firm GlobalData, the US second-hand fashion industry is predicted to grow by more than double to 82 billion dollars by 2026 - 16 times faster than the whole retail fashion market.

In the US, the resale market expanded by a record-breaking 32 percent in 2017.

Arrive CEO and co-founder Rachelle Snyder said that they're excited to expand their collaboration with Eddie Bauer to begin resale with their Returns to Recommerce service. Arrive assists in converting the issue of the significant return that many businesses have into a revenue-generating avenue.
