Orta introduces sensory, refined denim direction for F/W 2027-28

Orta has become the first denim mill to introduce Archroma’s FiberColors technology to the denim market. For its Fall/Winter 2027-28 collection, the Turkish mill is focusing on creating denim that combines authenticity, comfort, performance, and a rich sensory experience.

According to Sebla Onder, the collection is built around carefully selected fibres that balance durability with softness. Cotton continues to remain the foundation of the collection, especially regenerative and organic cotton varieties.

The company is also introducing cashmere wool blends into denim fabrics, adding natural warmth, softness, and a more luxurious touch to the material. These fibre choices support Orta’s aim of turning denim into a more refined yet flexible fabric for the upcoming season.

The collection includes two main concepts. The Art of Essence focuses on durability, clean construction, authentic details, and long-lasting fabrics. In contrast, The Art of Abundance explores creativity through texture, colour, and tactile surfaces, featuring layered tones, soft materials, and bold finishes.

The mill is also expanding its finishing techniques by introducing shiny luxury finishes and overdye effects to add more depth and visual richness to denim designs.
