Only & Sons x LYCRA
Danish menswear brand Only & Sons has launched a new pair of jeans made with Renewable Lycra fiber, further expanding the use of renewable materials in denim products. The new Onsloom Mid Rise Slim Fit jeans are made from a blend of 79 percent organic cotton, 20 percent recycled cotton and 1 percent elastane.
The fabric for the jeans was developed by Pakistan-based Naveena Denim Mills. According to the company, the project demonstrates how renewable materials can be incorporated into modern denim products while maintaining familiar fabric structures, fit and performance.
Designed to support a slim-fit silhouette, the fabric combines the appearance and feel of traditional cotton denim with the stretch and recovery properties associated with Lycra fiber.
“Working with Renewable Lycra fiber allowed us to introduce renewable content into denim while maintaining the fabric’s performance,” said Aydan Tuzun, Senior Vice President at Naveena Denim Mills. “It demonstrates how fibre-level innovation can be successfully scaled through fabric development without compromising performance standards.”
