Noble Biomaterials, based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, will introduce its new Ionic+ Prism line, an advanced range of permanently antimicrobial fabrics designed for the healthcare, outdoor, and sports uniform sectors at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland.
Developed in partnership with e.dye, creator of the Clean Color System for waterless yarn dyeing, Ionic+ Prism fabrics combine high-performance functionality with sustainability. The fabrics eliminate 99% of odor-causing bacteria for over 100 washes, while being manufactured using 90% less chemical input and 80% less water than traditional dyeing methods. They are also fully recyclable, supporting a circular textile economy.
“We’ve focused our investments and efforts on creating products in the most sustainable way possible, because once textiles are broken down and recycled, they’ll need to be rebuilt,” said Allon Cohne, Chief Marketing Officer at Noble Biomaterials. “Our goal is to provide the most sustainable option for that rebuilding process through durable and responsibly developed products in collaboration with e.dye.”
In addition to Ionic+ Prism, Noble showcased its latest Ionic+ performance technologies, including Ionic+ Botanical, a plant-based antimicrobial finish, and Ionic+ CoolPro fabrics, which provide long-lasting antimicrobial protection and are now fully commercialized. The company exhibited these innovations at stand 773 during the event.
