NexTex launches face-covering solution that is sustainable and comfortable

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2020-11-25 13:45:06 – USA

NexTex launches ParticleScreen fabric technology engineered for facial coverings that can be comfortably worn for extended use and while being active. The technology is patent-pending, three-layer fabric system that provides superior blocking against airborne particles while ensuring comfort to the wearer for prolonged periods of time.

The Atlanta-based textile technology innovator, NexTex is also popular for building strategic partnerships with brands, entrepreneurs and manufacturers to launch their textile innovations in the market. The company has rapidly responded to challenges and have produced customized, high-performance facial covering fabric technology.

Chad Lawrence, the CEO of NexTex, stated that as the coronavirus pandemic progressed, one of the chief complaints from consumers was that the facial coverings are uncomfortable. A study conducted showed that if the mask or facial covering was uncomfortable, people were more likely not to wear it. Chad stated that the ParticleScreen fabric technology provides a breathable, particle-blocking solution while keeping the skin around your face dry and temperature regulated. According to the company, the realisation of the product from the concept nearly took six months.

The newly launched face protection technology has been powered by NexTex’s TurboDry® technology, which is responsible for keeping the users skin significantly drier than regular wicking materials. It ensures one-way moisture transport process which what ensures comfort and drying speed. The three-level defence has been created by combining a TurboDry inner layer against the skin, a proprietary film in the middle, and an outer layer, which can optionally be treated to have durable water-repellant and antimicrobial properties. All theses properties and construction ensures that the ParticleScreen fabrics block particles are in par with the most advanced, non-medical facial coverings.

Lawerence stated that NexTex was very nimble and strategic in their business approach. He stated that they quickly responded to consumers needs with their excellent fabric technology partner and were able to make ParticleScreen fabric technology available to the market.

The ParticleScreen facial coverings are washable and reusable, making them among the most sustainable masks on the market. The mask has also acquired bluesign® and Oeko-Tex® certifications.
