The company reports that, “Gravity looks like being a powerful new force in the Indian marketplace and well beyond. It includes a range of fabric and styling innovations to boost Arvind branded favourites, such as Boomerang, Mutants, Azurite, Noe Cord and Fusion.â€
Festive 2018, established on the Indian textiles industry calendar, attracted more visitors than ever before. The mix of displays, runway shows, technical workshops, expert speakers, including Invista Commercial Director Rebecca Li and Aamir Akhtar, Arvind CEO, Lifestyle Fabrics – Denim, and lively discussion groups reflected well on the health of a fast-moving segment.
Visitors viewed the results at runway shows, and there were pattern-making workshops, wash tutorials, and updates on eco developments for the technically-minded wanting to get the best out of its advanced fabrics.
One of the world’s largest manufacturers of denim, Arvind, has launched its new Gravity fabric collection at its Festive 2018 trade events in New Delhi and Mumbai this spring. Invista was there to support it’s Indian partner in a business segment that shows no signs of slowing. All Arvind stretch denims are powered by Invista’s Lycra fibre.
Zones at both events focused on the comfort, fit and durability benefits Lycra dualFX and Lycra Shaping technologies bring to denim. The temperature management properties of fabrics incorporating Coolmax Core and Coolmax All Season technologies were a further attraction for visiting brands and retailers.
Points of interest were the sustainability advantages of Lycra T400 fibre with EcoMade technology and Coolmax EcoMade fibres in an increasingly environmentally conscious scenario.
