NATIVA, known for its traceable natural fiber solutions, has launched its NATIVA Wool and NATIVA Cotton programs on the TextileGenesis platform. The new digital system replaces paper-based transaction certificates with a secure digital chain of custody, improving traceability and transparency across the textile supply chain.
The rollout uses TextileGenesis’ Fiber-to-Retail (FTR) module and Fibercoin technology to digitally track NATIVA fibers from certified farms to finished products. The new approach replaces traditional PDF-based Transaction Certificates, which can be difficult to manage, especially across large supply chains, and are more vulnerable to fraud and errors.
Under the new system, each shipment of NATIVA Wool or Cotton is assigned a unique digital token using Fibercoin technology. This token remains linked to the material as it moves through processing, creating a secure and tamper-resistant digital record at every stage of the supply chain. The process provides a complete audit trail from raw fiber to the finished garment.
The digital platform also helps brands strengthen their sustainability claims by providing full visibility into their supply chains. The verified data can be used to confirm responsible fiber claims while identifying issues such as overclaiming, material substitution, or inconsistencies in mass balance before products reach the market.
