My Wardrobe HQ introduces its first rental subscription model

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-01-06 10:52:05 – United Kingdom

My Wardrobe HQ, the luxury rental and re-sale platform, has introduced a monthly multi-label premium subscription. Customers will be able to rent seasonless luxury items through the subscription model and experience a consistently "new," refreshed, sustainable wardrobe.

Customers can select two or four things from the subscription, and they can switch them out as frequently as they like.

Customers may access a wardrobe of opulent pieces, such as dresses, denim, cashmere knits, and outerwear, focusing on everyday wear for work and daily living. The brand was created to inspire customers to support the fashion industry by exploring new methods to shop.

The monthly subscription offers both ready-to-wear and accessories, with items like jeans from Ports 1961, cashmere coats from Amanda Wakely, day dresses from Tommy Hilfiger, shoes and accessories from Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, and Chanel, priced at £59 per month for 2 items and £79 per month for 4 items.

Sacha Newall, My Wardrobe HQ CEO and Co-founder, said that they are so thrilled at how quickly the UK market has embraced renting for event attire. Nearly three years ago, on the very day that the company was founded, we questioned whether those who love fashion were prepared to change the status quo. They did not want to be monotonous and dogmatic.

Newall added that it seems like the time has come to completely reevaluate how they approach their outfits. Customer comments like "Sometimes I feel like I might drown when I open my closet door, but I still have nothing I want to wear" were heard and considered. The UK is experiencing "peak material syndrome," when they frequently have what they want but often have more than they need. The only time something feels remarkable is when it is "new."

Jane Shepherdson, Chair of My Wardrobe HQ, said that this membership offer is the fullest manifestation of the possibilities of renting. While MWHQ looks for other brands to participate so that it can be more inclusive and provide more options. This is an excellent place to start if you want to change the way all clients shop. Whether you want to try on those £600 heels that might not be comfy enough to remain in your closet, rent a wedding dress for a month, or choose a cashmere coat and retain it for the winter.
