Murugan Textiles gets solar plant installed on rooftop of spinning machinery and warehouse

The largest rooftop solar plant of two Mega Watt (MW) installed on the roof of a building that houses the spinning machinery and a warehouse of Murugan Textiles, at Palladam, Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu by Tata Power Solar.

 

Sri Murugan Textiles, India's leading tape manufacturer with head quarter's positioned in Bhavani, supplies its exclusive products across India.

 

They manufacture an ample series of tapes and ropes for diverse industries in various range of products such as Mats, Carpets, Fashionate apparels. They also provide the products with a wide-ranging shades and specified designs for fashionables.

 

Sri Murugan Textiles enhances its commercial maneuver along these years moving to the Globalized Technology understanding the changes in the market and identifying the enormous needs of these products in world-wide market.

 

The plant is the first phase of a 3-MW project and work on the second phase of 1 MW will begin early next year.

 

The plant is for captive consumption. To avail REC benefits, it is connected to the grid through a dedicated feeder at 11 KV.

 

Spread across three buildings, with 800 kW on a single building, the plant will help displace about 2,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.

 

Murugan Textiles strive for continuous improvement in every pace of their objective. The rooftop solar power will be used as a mainstream option for power generation and have uninterrupted production.
