YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2021-05-14 09:30:33 – United Kingdom

Moore Maxxam, a UK-based clothing brand, has revealed that as part of its Eco Pledge to become completely regenerative and sustainable, it will transform all of its kids Maxxam fabric designs to an over 50% recycled edition.

Q-NOVA by Fulgar, an environmentally friendly nylon 6.6 fibre manufactured from regenerated raw materials and approved by Global Recycled Standard, will be used in all the designs. The product is designed to reduce CO2 emissions, water use, and reliance on renewable energy.

Moore Maxxam's Eco Pledge details the company's sourcing commitments as well as its environmental marketing ethos. The brand will be fabric with an over 50% recycled nylon along with fabric made from upcycling waste nylon yarn and recycled polyester yarn for the labels. Each garment will lasts a long time because it is made of a sturdy, high-quality cloth that stretches to accommodate children's growing bodies for years.

There will be less of a need to purchase additional clothes with multi-activity types that children will wear to swimming lessons, dance classes, playtime, and casual wear. Every step of the manufacturing process will be carried out in England, from the cloth knitting to the dress stitching.

Aloh with these, Moore Maxxam is still looking for more sustainable/regenerative options to make clothes, create textiles, and adapt the brand's day-to-day operations.

Co-founder of Moore Maxxam, Iona Clive, said making a product sustainable is more difficult than other people believe. From finding the best yarn to having it available for order, to having it turned into a product that meets their expectations, there are many challenges. After a lot of hard work from their dedicated team, they're proud to reveal their over 50% recycled fabric, which keeps their designs soft and affordable for everyone. It means we're one step closer to having completely regenerative materials.

She adds using recycled yarn reduces the amount of fabric that ends up in landfills and releases less synthetic contaminants from the dyes and bleaches that are used on textiles. In addition, less carbon is released into the environment as a result of the production of new yarn.

The four-piece Mini Maxx range, available at www.mooremaxxam.com, includes a playsuit, a bodysuit, long shorts, and a vest top, all made of the seamless, stretchy MAXXAM fabric and built to be multi-activity so you can dance, swim, and play in them.
