Memminger, Germany based company and market leader in cutting-edge processing technology for yarn in feeding, control systems and lubrication technology for knitting machines, will put its latest yarn feeding, control systems and lubrication technology for knitting machines on display at ITMA Asia an international exhibition for textile and textile machinery, will be held from 21-25 October 2016.

The company's latest storage feeder, the MSF 3 ATC, is based on the MSF 3 CAN with 57V DC and is fitted with the Active Tension Control (ATC) sensor for controlling yarn tension. Used together with the GTN controller unit it enables the central setting of the yarn tension on single units, groups of units or on all the units together. The control system ensures that the yarn tension at the yarn outlet of the MSF 3 ATC is not influenced by external factors such as the bobbin size or the yarn quality and maintains the preset values at all times.

An additional feature is the yarn length measuring function already present in the GTN unit for the MSF 3 CAN and for the positive feeders mounted on the knitting machine.

Also on display will be Promofeed, the latest generation of yarn-tension-controlled feeders for feeding elastic and non-elastic yarns to knitting machines. Simple to install and operate, the advantages of constant yarn tension ensure an even knit structure with an automatic zero setting of the yarn tension sensor. With a simple electronic menu, the Promofeed allows the yarn tension to be set from 0.5 cN up to 100, which is shown on the electronic display.

The integrated graduation function also means that the yarn tension can be increased or decreased in 0.1 cN steps with with real time monitoring by oscilloscopic function in the display. The Promofeed also measures the exact yarn consumption.

Also on display will be the fabric scanner Knit Scan, a contactless system which enables a huge reduction of second-grade fabric caused by broken needles on large diameter circular knitting machines.

The unit is self-adjusting to the fabric and so handling and operation is straightforward. Moreover, as the scanner head does not touch the fabric, sensitive fabric qualities can be detected.
