Mango, The Post Fiber launch recycled textile waste collection

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-07-01 15:21:37 – Spain

Mango, the Spanish fashion brand, has invested in The Post Fiber, a start-up dedicated to converting used textile waste into new fibres for clothing production. This investment, made through Mango’s innovation platform MangoStartUp Studio, positions the brand as one of the first to include post-consumer textile waste in its apparel offerings.

As part of this initiative, Mango has introduced a limited-edition capsule under its youth line, Mango Teen. The collection features casual wear such as T-shirts and is made from 80% recycled materials, with 15% sourced from The Post Fiber. These pieces are created using newly developed yarns and fabrics.

The garments are also dyed using a new eco-friendly technique known as Pigmentura. By combining recycled materials and innovative dyeing methods, the collection supports Mango’s efforts towards a circular and more sustainable fashion model.

Andrés Fernández, Director of Sustainability and Sourcing at Mango, shared that the collaboration aims to lower environmental impact while also creating long-term value through sustainable practices.
