Spanish fashion brand Mango has partnered with Lectra’s traceability platform TextileGenesis to create a secure, trustworthy, and fully digital map of its fashion supply chain.
Using TextileGenesis, Mango has already tracked more than 6,000 tons of sustainable fibers and over 40 million finished products across its entire value chain. The brand is tracing natural fibers, animal-based fibers, synthetic materials, man-made cellulosics and leather from the raw material stage to when the products reach its stores.
The platform has also helped Mango connect with more than 1,000 supply chain partners in 23 countries, giving the company much deeper visibility, not only for certified fibers but also for regular materials, leather and footwear.
TextileGenesis CEO Amit Gautam said, “Achieving this level of transparency is difficult for brands like Mango because of the complexity of their global supply chains. To ensure accurate traceability, companies need advanced systems that can provide detailed, verified information at every production stage. We are glad to support Mango in meeting its sustainability goals by helping build a transparent value chain.”
TextileGenesis states that its digital traceability system allows Mango to securely and accurately map its textiles and confirm their authenticity and origin.
Mango has chosen key digital tools from TextileGenesis’ six-dimensional (6D) system, including the Fiber-to-Retail module for certified sustainable fibers and the new backward Supply Chain Discovery module for conventional fibers.
