Mango employees to receive sustainable training

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2024-01-23 16:24:13 – Spain

Spanish fashion brand Mango is teaming up with the Centre for Higher Education in Fashion Design (CSDMM) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid to enhance its sustainability understanding. The collaboration involves the development of a training program, set to commence in 2024.

Approximately 250 Mango employees will undergo sustainability training provided by the university's Centre for Higher Education in Fashion Design. The training will cover areas such as recycling procedures, the latest developments in sustainable materials, certifications, labeling, and the application of circularity principles in designing collections for buyers and designers across all Mango apparel lines.

Mango sees staff training as a crucial element of its goal to attract and retain talent, aligning with the company's values of training, development, and employee rewards. Leila Rettali, Global Director of Talent and Organisational Development at Mango, emphasized the company's commitment to promoting employee growth, and in 2023, Forbes recognized Mango as one of the best employers globally.

In addition to employee training, Mango aims to establish alliances with institutions sharing its dedication to advancing knowledge and education. The company envisions taking a significant step towards a more sustainable economic model through such collaborations.
