The Lycra Company has partnered with Dovetail Workwear, a women’s performance clothing brand, to launch the Coolswap capsule collection in Spring 2026. At the Functional Fabric Fair held from November 12–13 in Portland, Oregon, visitors received an early look at the new fabrics designed to help women perform confidently in all types of work environments.

Dovetail Workwear is known for designing products based on real user needs. The brand closely works with its community of women workers, who often ask for strong yet breathable workwear. The new Coolswap collection has been developed to meet this need.

The fabrics, made with Lycra EcoMade fibre, are extremely lightweight, durable, stretch easily, and dry quickly, offering cool comfort throughout the day. The Lycra fibre also includes plant-based materials and recycled PET bottles, supporting lower environmental impact.

The Coolswap fabrics were developed together with Sapphire Finishing Mills, one of Pakistan’s largest textile manufacturers. Sapphire’s focus on sustainable innovation and technical skill helped bring Dovetail’s vision to life through high-performance woven fabrics for women’s workwear.

“Our aim is to provide women with workwear that works as hard as they do,” said Sara DeLuca, co-founder of Dovetail Workwear. “Women often tell us that lightweight but long-lasting workwear is hard to find. Working with Lycra helped us create lighter fabrics without losing durability and offer a cooler, more comfortable range made responsibly.” The five-piece Coolswap collection includes essential work styles such as two types of work pants, cargo skirts and shorts, and a long-sleeved work shirt.
