LSKD, Samsara Eco to introduce recycled nylon into product range

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-04-23 14:01:04 – Australia

LSKD has signed a 10-year agreement with Samsara Eco to use enzymatically recycled nylon 6,6 in its products starting from 2028. As part of this partnership, LSKD will shift key product lines from nylon 6 to recycled nylon 6,6 developed by Samsara Eco. This will be the brand’s first use of regenerated fibres made from end-of-life textiles. The change aims to improve product durability while supporting its sustainability goals.

The collaboration will allow both companies to work together on adopting circular materials. It will help LSKD increase the use of recycled inputs without affecting product performance.

Logan McNally highlighted that nylon 6,6 is known for being softer, stronger, and more durable. He added that the ability to produce it from used textiles without losing these qualities made the decision easier.

Samsara Eco uses enzymatic recycling technology, where specially designed enzymes break down used textiles, including blended fabrics, into basic components. These are then rebuilt into new fibres.

This agreement is part of LSKD’s broader sustainability efforts under its Project Earth program. It also builds on Samsara Eco’s existing partnerships with global brands such as Lululemon, which has a similar long-term agreement for recycled nylon and polyester supply.
