Loewe teams up to turn orange peels into garments

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-06-19 16:11:56 – Spain

Spanish luxury brand Loewe is bringing garments made from orange peels. With support from Pyratex and Orange Fiber, the brand is transforming juice industry byproducts into refined, high-end clothing.

Developed in Madrid by Pyratex, this eco-conscious textile uses Orange Fiber, a patented material made from citrus waste. The result is a fabric that’s not just sustainable but also delivers strong performance and a luxurious feel.

This collaboration goes beyond surface-level sustainability. Orange Fiber is fully certified and traceable, with credentials including GRS, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and B Corp, making it a genuine green innovation.

Produced in Italy through a closed-loop system, the fibre is brought to life in collaboration with the Lenzing Group, known for creating TENCEL, ensuring low-impact manufacturing and responsible sourcing.
