In 2017, consumption of women’s lingerie in France reached EUR 1.97 billion and french women bought the most lingerie, sales rose by 3.8% in volume, with a rebound in purchase frequency of 3.1% and 4.4% in the number of items per consumer.
On the export side, French corsetry sales reached EUR 371.5 million, and brands with the label Lingerie Française account for nearly 64% of their turnover in the export market. French lingerie exports well in the EU, with predominant markets, such as Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the UK, but is also enjoying a boom in overseas markets, including the US, Canada, UAE, Russia and Japan.

Fourteen prestigious French lingerie brands – Aubade,Antigel, Antinéa ,Chantelle, Eprise, Epure, Empreinte ,Implicite, Passionata, Lise Charmel, Lou, Louisa Bracq, Maison Lejaby, and Simone Pérèle – and five guest French designers will present their latest collections to an audience of 600 people that include media, influencers and international buyers.
Following the success of the Lingerie, Mon Amour show in January last year, Promincor – Lingerie Française (Association for the Promotion of Corsetry Industries) and the DEFI (Committee of Promotion and Development for the Clothing) once again bring together leading French lingerie brands for a Parisian show on 20 January 2019.
This year, the show will have a rock twist with a live concert, unique scenography, and dances pieces as a contemporary ode to excellence, as reported by the organizers.
