KBR signs technology contract with TreeToTextile for sustainable textile fiber plant

The US-based company, KBR has signed a technology contract with TreeToTextile AB in Nymölla, Sweden, for the construction of a sustainable textile fibers demonstration facility.

For the project's chemicals recovery unit, KBR will supply a technological license, engineering, proprietary equipment, and commissioning services, allowing TreeToTextile to effectively and sustainably reuse valuable chemicals using KBR Ecoplanning® innovative solutions.

Doug Kelly, KBR President, Technology, said that they’re delighted to sponsor TreeToTextile's exciting project to create a highly sustainable low-cost textile fabric utilizing renewable forest resources.
