The South India Jute Association in association National Jute Board for the first time has organized a jute fair at the SRT Hall at Thillai Nagar in Tiruchi which began today and will continue for four days.

The objective at the back of organizing such a Jute fair in the city is to create awareness of eco-friendly products made from natural fibre, which are non-polluting and bio degradable. It would sensitize entrepreneurs, who could take up diversification in jute products.

More than 20 jute units from South India will exhibit life style jute products including bags, folders, wallets, ornaments, envelopes, decorative, gift and fashion products.
