Japan Airlines to start renting clothes to passengers

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-07-18 18:07:00 – Japan

To eliminate the need to carry heavy luggage, a new sustainable initiative has been launched by Japan Airlines to revolutionize the travel industry by renting clothes to passengers. This unique initiative will be on trial this summer and is developing to become a regular scheme for JAL passengers.

This scheme, Any Wear, Anywhere, offers travelers to enjoy their vacation without the burden of excessive luggage. The items that can be rented by the airlines include casual wear, blazers, and even footwear. This is going to promote minimal luggage culture.

The airline has also partnered with sustainable fashion brands that provide environmentally-conscious vacation attire, promoting sustainable practices and empowering consumers.
