Jakob Müller AG takesover dyeing & finishing specialist Benninger AG

JMBT Beteiligungen AG is a 100% subsidiary of Jakob Müller Holding AG and an affiliate of Jakob Müller AG in Frick, Switzerland a manufacturer of fabric manufacturing equipment has acquired 100 percent of the share capital of Benninger AG from Benninger Holding AG, a move that adds dyeing and finishing expertise to the Swiss company’s current knitted and woven narrow fabric capability.

For Jakob Müller AG, the deal enables the firm to expand into an associated business field and profit from Benninger’s current experience the textile-finishing sector.

As a result of its integration in the Jakob Müller Group, Benninger is expected to benefit from the sound structures and common ground with regard to technology, production and sales and can therefore extend its operations.

In 2015 the Benninger Group workforce totaled around 330 employees, 110 of which are based in Switzerland. It develops, produces and sells textile finishing systems for a range of knitted fabrics and other textiles as well as systems for tire cord production around the world. Benninger offers integral solutions, which include the plant engineering as well as the required chemical processes.

Jakob Müller AG is the parent company of various companies that operate exclusively in the field of narrow fabric looms including Italy-based Comez, the manufacturer of warp knitting and crochet machines. It has production facilities in Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, India and China as well.

The Swiss company Benninger has been the textile industry’s leading partner across the globe for more than one hundred and fifty years with global branches and service representatives.
