Jack Wolfskin extends its sustainble partnership with Polartec®

Jack Wolfskin,  a major German producer of sustainable outdoor wear to launch the DNA Hike collection which features a three-layer fabric made entirely of recycled materials.

The outer and inner layers are made of Polartec® Windbloc recycled synthetic fibers, with a waterproof and breathable Texapore Ecosphere membrane which is entirely made of recycled materials.

The DNA Hike range features innovative Polartec fabrics and is inspired by Wolfskin’s classic designs from the past, which have been revamped and revised with modernized styles and the latest sustainable technologies.

From next winter, Wolfskin’s iconic Gecko fleece sweater, which has been a best-seller since 1995 and is a highlight of the collection, will also be available as a completely recycled product.

Since 1988, Jack Wolfskin has used Malden Mills Polartec fabrics in its collections, and in 1999, the Polartec Recycling range – one of the first on the market – was launched and quickly became a staple in Jack Wolfskin clothing.

Polartec, a South Carolina-based company is also celebrating the 40th anniversary of the discovery of fleece material this year.
