At the Italy's Milano Design Week, Peruvian collection composed of over 70 textile pieces, crafted by 23 artisans from Ayacucho and Lambayeque regions, is put on display, informed Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry informed.
This year’s Design Week opens its doors to creative minds from all over the world and is ready to enliven the city with one-of-a-kind events.
Such exhibition is held at Ventura Lambrate (VL 2016) and features the latest contemporary design innovations brought by renowned talents, independent studios, academies, galleries and institutions from all over the world.
Minister Magali Silva affirmed the collection titled “Encuentro bajo el sol de los dioses" ("Encounter under the Sun of Gods") showcases designs representing ancient cultures' deities.
The national textile collection is displayed along with other projects from over 30 countries such as: Norway, Finland, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland, among others.
This exhibit, to run through April 17th 2016, puts on display Peruvian craftwork's quality and innovation, as well as techniques inherited from generation to generation.
