CAITME-Central Asian largest International Textile Machinery Exhibition to be held in Tashkent where Italian textile machinery manufacturers will be looking for new business opportunities with Uzbekistan textile industry.
According to Raffaella Carabelli President of ACIMIT, Uzbekistan has a century’s old tradition in the production and processing of cotton, ranking among the primary manufacturers and exporters of this raw material. Apart of this, many of the current projects in Uzbekistan concern the construction of industrial complexes that require technologically advanced machinery.
In recent years, the local textile sector has initiated a deep-rooted restructuring in order to increase its production of locally produced cotton from 40% in 2012 to 70% by 2015.
ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, and the Italian Trade Agency have organised an Institutional Point at which four manufacturers will be present. These companies include Biancalani, Bonino, Ratti Luino and Stalam, and will be joined by other Italian exhibitors at the booths of corresponding local agents.
In 2013, Italian textile machinery manufacturers exported EUR 4 million worth of goods to Uzbekistan. These sales mostly concerned spinning machinery, amounting to 60% of the total, and weaving machinery, which constituted 12%.
ACIMIT represents an industrial sector comprising around 300 companies and producing machinery for an overall value of EUR 2.3 billion, with exports amounting to 84% of total sales.
Italian textile technology is sold in around 130 countries worldwide. According to the association, creativity, sustainable technology, reliability and quality are the characteristics which made Italy a global leader in the manufacturing of textile machinery.
CAITME offers local textile companies the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and achievements in the production of textile machinery and technology, and to purchase them without leaving the country. At the same time, during 3 exhibition working days participants can also source local agents during the exhibition and sign contracts to sell their products.
The Visitors at CAITME will have an opportunity to ascertain the excellence of Italian technology which will be held from 10-12 September.
