Intertextile hopes the industry will restart

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2020-06-24 08:38:24 – China

Ms. Wendy Wen, general manager of Messe Frankfurt, the organizer of Intertextile Shanghai, says September’s show could act as “a much-needed meeting place to reboot the industry”.

"To date, 2020 has been unbelievably challenging for the textile businesses changed," she explained.

"We believe that there is no substitute for face-to-face interaction when it comes to doing business -- even more so in the textile industry in which product selection cannot be so readily done online. Moreover, many of our exhibitors and buyers are SMEs who rely on our global platform as their principal marketing and sourcing expertise of this calendar year, therefore we're determined to sponsor a successful and secure Autumn Variant of Intertextile to their sake."

The series will occur between September 23 and 25.

September's show will have pavilions hosted by DuPont, Hyosung, Lenzing, LYCRA and OEKO-TEX.

We know though that global travel is still uncertain at the moment, therefore we are working closely with overseas companies in the expectation that restrictions will be lifted shortly, to ensure an extensive selection of merchandise is available to buyers in the Fair," added Ms. Wen.
